Abstract

We report the case of a patient with Klippel-Feil (K-F) syndrome, who developed complications after three-level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. A 65-year-old male patient presented with quadriparesis and radiating pain on the both upper extremities related with cervical spondylotic myelopathy. Although he had symptomatic improvement after three-level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, His cervical screw pulled out twice. Finally he underwent posterior fusion with cervical pedicle screw fixation and removal of loosened anterior screw. Even though the patient needed additional surgeries because of screw loosening, the K-F patient who had high surgical risk was successfully treated with cervical pedicle screw fixation.
